Educational Grants Program

Within the framework of Educational Grants Program young people entered to the universities on contract basis have an opportunity to pay their tuition fees with the Fund’s grant. Since 2005 612 gifted students have become winners of the Program, for the best of them the payment of the tuition has been annually prolonged.

Program of Scholarships for the Gifted Students

Program of Scholarships for the Gifted Students

The Program of Scholarships for the Gifted Students is directed to encourage and support talented and active young people studying at 2, 3 and 4 courses. The most active students get prolongation of scholarships. Since 2006, about 100 students annually pass the contest for the Program. Total sum of grant payments for 6 years comes to 268 million soums.

Sport Grants Program

Sport Grants Program

Sport Grants Program is directed to encourage and support talented and active young sportsmen. Within the framework of the project «The Champions’ Forum» young perspective sportsmen have been allocated grants since April 2007. During the 2007-2011 215 sports grants were allocated for total amount more than 64,5 mln sums.

Pedagogical Grants Program

Pedagogical Grants Program

Since 2006 Pedagogical Grants Program have been organized. Within the framework of the project monetary encouragements are given to teachers and scientific employees, and also grants are allocated for realization of innovative projects in the education field. Since 2006 the Project has involved about 4000 teachers. 250 of them have become winners. Totally 174 million sums were allocated.

Traditional Crafts Development Grants

Grants to Support Handicrafts

Within the Bazar-Art exhibition-fair the “Mekhr Nuri” Foundation presented grants totaling 22 mln.sums to craftsmen, who became laureates of the exhibition. The grants were aimed at the further development of the handicrafts, revival of disappearing types of applied arts and traditional forms of arts in Uzbekistan.

Grant Program to Support Socially Significant Projects of Regional NGOs in Uzbekistan

Launched by the Fund Forum and the Social Initiative Support Fund (SISF), the program is aimed at providing financial support for socially significant projects initiated by regional NGOs to step up efforts to address social issues.

Young entrepreneurs support program

Young entrepreneurs support program

The annual Young Entrepreneurs Support Program was launched in 2008 by Kelajak ovozi YIC in collaboration with the Social Initiatives Support Fund (SISF), the British Council in Uzbekistan, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, and Microcreditbank. The program aims to draw the youth to small business and provide financial support to budding businessmen. Since 2010, the Fund Forum has been allocating grants in an effort to support the Program alumni and leading young entrepreneurs (as determined by the analysis of financial report provided).

“Alternative Energy Sources for the Support of the Social Sector Representatives”

Project aims to introduce renewable sources of energy to Uzbekistan`s system of energy provision by installing module systems that run on solar and wind energy. The systems would be set up within farming households and objects of social significance.
