Uzbek celebrities to play fundraising football game

A group of Uzbek celebrities are bracing to play a fundraising football game on April 23 at Tashkent’s JAR Stadium. The teams will include pop singers, film actors and Kelajak Ovozi YIC members, with famous Uzbek actor and film director Murod Rajabov set to comment the game. All proceeds from the sale of tickets to the friendly match will go toward supporting women diagnosed with breast cancer.

The ‘film star’ team will feature actors Jakhongir Poziljonov, Adiz Rajabov and Alisher Uzakov, film director Javlon Shodmonov and TV host Ravshan Hojiyev among others. The team of singers will include music groups Sahro, Zarba and Ummon and singers Shokhrukhon, Alisher Fayz and Ulugbek Rahmatullayev among others.

The cheering spectators will include singers Rayhon, Ziyoda, Munisa Rizayeva and other Uzbek female pop stars.

Tickets to the match are available at JAR Stadium box offices. Besides making contributions to the charitable cause, the audience and supporters will have an enjoyable time watching their favorite stars and peers in play and judging their skills in football.

The organizers of the upcoming fundraising game include the Fund Forum, the National Breast Cancer Association and Kelajak Ovozi (Voice of the future) Youth Initiatives Center.
